UK kiosk supplier RSL has acquired Kizoom, a developer of interactive content and hardware for transport bodies, rail operators, and airports, in a deal which will broaden its technology base and allow it to offer Kizoom’s technology in sectors beyond transportation.
RSL is already present in the public-transport market, but also serves other users in fields such as tourism (pictured), hospitals, prisons and retail, where its customers include mall operator Westfield.
“Kizoom is a great fit for the business in several ways,” said Bill Bottomley, RSL’s managing director. “Working in a similar market to RSL, Kizoom has complementary products that we can now offer to our customers, and what’s more we can bring our range of products and services to Kizoom’s clients.”
One significant addition to the RSL portfolio would be Kizoom’s self-service ticketing technology, RSL said.
“Also, Kizoom’s established and skilled field engineer base enables RSL to offer its customers a dedicated in-house support team that will ensure service excellence unrivalled in the market,” Bottomley added.
