Channel M launches bilingual network for finance firm
Channel M in the U.S. is rolling out its first bilingual in-store network for PLS Check Cashers.
Following a 50-store trial, the Spanish-and-English network will be deployed across the PLS estate. The company has more than 300 cheque-cashing outlets in Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, New York, Texas and Wisconsin.

Manila billboards to show videos on social issues
Philippine digital-signage and billboard firm Globaltronics is to show short videos covering social issues on its digital billboards in Manila.
The joint project with the Philippine Business for Social Progress organisation will see the pair invite five-to-eight-second videos on the theme of corporate social responsibility as entries to their Advocacy Advertising in the Digital Age competition.
Globaltronics will also host a workshop on designing visuals for digital billboards.
Web content will complement elevator screens
Gannett-owned Captivate Network is the latest digital-signage operator to integrate out-of-home and Web content.
The company is repositioning its Website as a consumer-facing service with news and blog content to complement the programming (pictured) that appears on Captivate’s screens in office-building elevators.

India’s Future Media has underlined the importance of effective content with the appointment of Ashim Mohanty as content head for its in-store network Future TV.
In his new role, Mohanty will be responsible for all content that plays on Future TV and will report to Vishakha Singh, director of marcom and strategy.

Sky News adds another out-of-home site
Sky News could get a significant boost to its UK viewership through a new deal signed with digital-outdoor operator City Gateway Media.
Each four-minute loop on City Gateway's Manchester Tower screen (pictured) in the eponymous northern English city is to feature 30 seconds of Sky News material.
City Gateway claims the screen reaches 207,000 viewers daily – a substantial number to add to Sky's UK satellite viewership of 
Future TV adds Olympics spots after India gets gold
To mark India's first-ever Olympics gold medal in Beijing this month, in-store TV network Future TV has introduced new content focusing on the competition.
The network is airing spots such as Top Ten Athletes To Watch, updates on Indian participants and other vignettes on the Olympics.
